Care Team Visitor - Visiting one person in need by phone, in person, or writing a note or card. Communion on Wheels - Deliver communion to those unable to attend services of Holy Communion. Card Cupids - Write cards and notes to care receivers. Casserole Ministry - Make and/or deliver casseroles for those needing care. Mustard Seeds Intercessory Prayer - Persons who meet monthly to pray for those who request prayer. Van Drivers - Shuttle those needing transportation from the Commons to church. Stephen Ministries This is a program of our care ministries that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-on-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. How do I become a Stephen Minister? 1. 25 hours of training by Stephen Leaders 2. Fee for training materials 3. Two-year commitment to meet monthly with Stephen Leaders for supervision, support, and continuing education. Caregiver Connecion Caring for a loved one can be the most rewarding experience of one's life, as well as being one of the most stressful.  Caring for yourself during this time can also prove to be most challenging.  With this in mind, First Church provides a care-giver's support group called "Caregiver Connection." Under the direction of LaJean Kirby, NODA, caregivers will have an opportunity to come together on the first and third Thursdays of the month in the First Church Parlor at 10:00 am.  Along with practical advice, health care issues, and stress management, the group promises to offer fun and fellowship.  Call Mary Miller at the church, 237-2041 ext. 102, if you have any questions. Opportunities for Fellowship DaVinci Girls - Ladies, primarily widows, meet weekly on Monday at 1:30 pm at DaVinci’s Coffee House for fun and conversation. Greatest Generation Gentlemen - Men 65 and over meet the first and third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am at the church for fellowship, fun, and discussion.  There are various programs as well as sharing life stories.
