www.firstchurchenid.com             umc@firstchurchenid.com Childcare Policy Adopted by Children's Council First United Methodist Church 10-11-04 (in accordance with requirements of the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church regarding safety for our children) effective December 1, 2004   The children's department will provide two (2) workers for each childcare event with one worker being over 18 years old. Background checks will be obtained per FUMC policy. Identifying smocks will be worn by childcare attendants. Open childcare will be offered for children 2nd grade and younger during all worship experiences.                                                Other events needing childcare are required to make reservations one (1) week in advance. Childcare services for events are provided for children ten (10) and under. Childcare will be provided only for events scheduled at FUMC. There will be a five (5) child minimum to secure childcare services. In the event the minimum is not met and childcare is not offered, a list of babysitters will be offered for home use.  (Babysitting in your home will be at the parent's expense.) Each Sunday School class will be offered two (2) childcare events per year. Any group requesting childcare will be charged if childcare services are furnished and there is a no-show situation.                                                Childcare will be provided for weddings at a cost of $50.00 in accordance with the above criteria.
