The Learning Tree (Preschool)

Our philosophy is that our program should fit the child; the child should not have to fit the program!
First United Methodist Church’s Learning Tree, a developmental preschool and pre-kindergarten, has been providing excellence in early childhood education since 1965. The staff at Learning Tree is comprised of dedicated early childhood teachers. Learning Tree is licensed through the Department of Human Services. An age-appropriate curriculum is offered. This is a careful blend of teacher- initiated activities that build on children’s interests and children’s self-directed activities and play. Activities are suited to children’s ages and abilities and address all areas of development: intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative.
Tuition for the 2026-2027 school year is:
Learning Tree begins at 8:15 and ends at 11:30.
ONE YEAR OLD CLASSES
- Two days (Tues/Thurs) $175.00 monthly
- Three days (Mon/Wed/Fri) $190.00 monthly
- Five days (Mon-Fri) $240.00 monthly
TWO THROUH THREE YEAR OLD CLASSES
- Two days (Tues/Thurs) $150.00 monthly
- Three days (Mon/Wed/Fri) $175.00 monthly
- Five days (Mon-Fri) $230.00 monthly
L.E.A.F. 4 YEAR OLD CLASS 8:15-1:00
- Five days $345.00 monthly
LEARNING TREE AFTERCARE TILL 1:00
- One day $55.00
- Two Days $75.00
- Three days $105.00
- Four days $135.00
- Five days $155.00
- Drop in rate $25 daily
Early care available beginning at 7:30
- $5.00 per day
FUMC provides aftercare from 1:30 until 4:30 for an additional fee.
Registration Fees for the 2026-27 school year are:
- $125.00 for two days a week
- $150.00 for three days a week
- $175.00 for five days a week
The registration fee must be paid to secure your child’s position at Learning Tree.
